Companies that do wish to take part in METU-Technopolis and benefit from the advantages provided by the Law, should fulfill all the criteria specified by the management company, Teknopark A.S. It is targeted to complete all the stages, within a 60 day period following the formal application date of the applicant:

Companies and/or organisations wishing to be involved in METU-Technopolis structure and benefit from the advantages provided by the Regulation no.4691, regarding Technology Development Regions should fulfill all the necessary conditions in application and acceptance procedure specified by the management company, Teknopark A.Ş. All the procedure described below in detail, is aimed to be completed within a period of 60 days from the official date of application.
While evaluating applications of companies and/or organisations, some general specifications listed below are taken into consideration:
Companies to be involved in METU-Technopolis structure have to provide necessary qualifications in increasing economical and technological competitiveness potential of our country within international arena and also have to deal effectively with R&D and software development activities.
The main goal of METU-Technopolis is to assist in the potential of the country in producing high technology through R&D and software development activities. Besides it is not sufficient only to use the high technology. In order to be accepted to METU-Technopolis, companies should actively deal with R&D and software development activities or should have at least that necessary potential and capacity.
Companies to be involved in METU-Technopolis should have the effort and desire to develop strong cooperation and collaboration with universities and research centers.
It is expected from the companies to be one of the elements of regional and national sustainable development.
Entrepreneurship and innovation are the two main characteristics that are important while evaluating companies and their projects.
Providing attractive employment opportunities for the qualified university graduates is expected from the companies.
Production activities are not permitted within the region. Only the prototype production of projects and products based on R&D activities and restricted production activities based on R&D activities defined in Technology Development Regions Application Regulation could be realised within METU-Technopolis Technology Development Region.
Protection of the environment is very crucial within the region. With regard to this point, activities that will probably cause air,water, noise or any other kind of pollution will not be permitted within the region.
Believing in social justice, being respectful for the environment and for the human rights and having strong ethical values are the notions that are expected from the companies and their executive officers.
